NEW GRANT! Aldon Mark Berger Mental Health Imaging Research Grant

With the generous support of the estate of Elaine D. Berger, an endowment dedicated to supporting research and education in mental health has been established for the ASNR. The Foundation of the ASNR now invites applications for neuroimaging research to better understand the pathophysiological underpinnings of behavioral health and mental health disorders with the goal of improving treatment and outcomes.

Foundation of the ASNR Grant Program

The Foundation of the ASNR Grant Program is presented annually to support members of the ASNR who demonstrate great promise for future contributions to the field of neuroradiology and whose proposed project best embodies the goals of the foundation, namely: “to promote research, education, and innovation in neuroradiology that will advance clinical practice and improve patient outcomes.”

Imaging Research in Alzheimer’s and Other Neurodegenerative Diseases Grant

Partnering with the Alzheimer’s Association, this program’s goal is to support the development of new imaging tools, advance imaging-based research and provide funding for novel and innovative imaging data analysis as relates to Alzheimer’s and related dementia.

Trainee Research Grant in Neuroradiology

The goal in offering multiple Trainee Research Grants in Neuroradiology is to increase trainee engagement by encouraging many applications and building a substantial pipeline of future academic investigators. These grants are intended to supplement departmental support from applicant institutions and could be used for biostatistics, software, cloud computing services, physical lab support, as well as other related needs.

Women in Neuroradiology Leadership Award

Since neuroradiologists must be leaders in the field, the primary focus of this award mechanism is to support mid-career women with some demonstrated experience and promise for leadership in radiology through administration, education, research and/or practice. The objectives are to provide the award recipient with additional skills and insights to enhance opportunities for advancement.

Applying Comparative Effectiveness and Quality Improvement Research and Education (ACQUIRE)

The Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), the American Society of Neuroradiology (ASNR), the Society of Interventional Radiology Foundation (SIRF), and the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (SNMMI) are co-sponsoring an interactive training program in health care delivery, clinical effectiveness and economic evaluation targeted at academic radiologists..
