This award, first presented in 1986, was created by the ASNR with the support of Bayer Healthcare Pharmaceuticals, Inc. to stimulate the scientific development of promising young men and women, and to aid them in embarking on a career in academic radiology. It is specifically designed to provide educational opportunities for young radiologists who are not yet professionally established in the radiologic sciences to gain further insight into scientific investigations, and to develop competence in research.
